The Company
Ānuenue Travel was founded by Nalu and Ikaika with the intent to bring Hawaii to the world and the world to Hawaii. Traveling is a beautiful thing as it opens one’s eyes to a culture unlike their own. That alone has a lasting effect on both the traveler, and the community. Travel also keeps the soul and mind young for if solo, or with friends, it enhances one’s story and perception of life.
Our Responsibility
Along with bringing the world to our community and our community to the world, Ānuenue Travels will do our part reduce our carbon footprint as a company. All bookings will include a carbon offset fee to account for all flights and ground transportation in a booking.
James Douglas K "Nalu" Camanse
James Douglas (Nalu) Camanse born and raised in Hawaii, is the Chief Executive Officer. His first trip internationally was to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico followed by his first trip over seas to Frankfurt, Germany. Nalu has loved aviation from a young age, any chance he could get to fly he did. Luckily for him, landing in new exciting destinations was a bi-product of flying. Through his drive to fly many new aircraft and airlines, he grew another love of exploration of new countries and cultures. He finds nothing more exhilarating then landing in a new city where the language isn’t your own and being quickly humbled by how simple universal non-verbal ques (that are often taken for granted), become your main mode of communication.
Bronson Ikaika Camanse
Bronson (Ikaika), born and raised in Hawaii, is the Chief Operating Officer. When younger, the idea of traveling overseas was always just slightly outside of his comfort zone as it was completely unknown. After college during his first trip to Thailand and South Korea – his perspective changed. He learned during that trip that whilst their languages were different, their values were the same. People in Thailand and South Korea were far more similar Ikaika than they were different. From then on, the travel bug struck, and he wants as many people as possible to experience what he has through travel of their own.
